Graduate Programs

To help individuals reach the next level in their career advancement and preparedness, Appalachian State University's Cratis D. Williams Graduate School offers 52 degree programs at the doctoral, specialist, and master's levels and 14 graduate certificates. The graduate school serves approximately 2,500 graduate students, with about half attending class in one of 20 locations across Western North Carolina in special cohorts designed to meet the needs of working professionals. These off-campus sites are located from Asheville to Mooresville and Winston-Salem.

Doctoral Program

Appalachian offers a Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership (Ed.D). The mission is to prepare students for leadership roles in public schools and community colleges.
