Section 1. DISTRICT CHAIRPERSON: The District Chairperson
shall preside at all annual or called District Meetings, District Executive
Committee Meetings and serve on the SEANC Board of Governors. A presiding
officer pro tempore may be arranged at the District Chairperson’s discretion.
1.1 The District Chairperson shall appoint, in addition to
those shown in Article
I, the following Special Committee
Chairpersons as needed:
1.1.1 A District Scholarship Chairperson
1.1.2 A District Group Buying Chairperson
1.1.3 A District Communication Chairperson
1.1.4 A District Fund Raising Chairperson
1.1.5 A District Insurance Committee Chair
1.1.6 A District Retiree Committee Chair
1.1.7 Approve the appointment of at least five (2) committee
members of each Standing
and Special Committee, such
appointments to be
made by the Chairperson of the
respective committees.
1.1.8 Appoint a Chairperson for any other special project as the
need arises.
1.2 The District Chairperson shall:
1.2.1 Perform such duties as may be delegated by the District
Executive committee
and other duties as are usually
incumbent upon the
office of District Chairperson.
1.2.2 Prior to the date of the Annual Convention, present in
writing to the President
of SEANC such matters as were
passed on in
the District Annual Meeting.
Section 2. DISTRICT VICE CHAIRPERSON: The Vice Chairperson shall:
1.1 Exercise the function of the District Chairperson in the
case of absence or
disability of the District Chairperson.
1.2 Perform such other duties as assigned by the District Chairperson
or the
District Executive Committee.
Section 3. DISTRICT TREASURER: In addition to the regular duties
usually incumbent
to such office, the District Treasurer shall:
1.1 Receive and disburse all District monies subject to the
approval of the
District Executive Committee including
the prompt remittance of
collected dues to the State General
Treasurer.
1.2 Defray the actual necessary expenses of all duly elected officers
and
delegates attending the Annual or Called
Meeting of the Convention of
SEANC, PR0VIDED, that all such expenses
authorized to be paid under
this subsection shall be computed on
the basis of the State’s current per
