Video-Conferencing Solutions
The Career Development Center at Appalachian State University is proud to
announce to addition of Internet-based video-conferencing to the arsenal of
services available to both students and employers. Video-conferencing
provides specific solutions to problems that may arise during the
recruiting season such as: inclement weather, geographic limitations,
finances, etc... We are confident that by providing this free technology,
we can further facilitate the future relationship between prospective
graduates and employers.
Through the generous donation of Enterprise Rent-A-Car we are able conduct
Internet-based video-conferencing free of charge to both students and
employers via Microsoft
Netmeeting. Your only technical requirements as employers is that you have
an established Internet connection, a digital video camera, a video capture
card, a 16-Bit (or higher) soundcard, a computer microphone, and Microsoft Netmeeting 2.1
installed on your PC. If you meet the following requirements and would
like to establish a video-conference with one or multiple Appalachian
