What is Alpha Phi?

Alpha Phi is a sisterhood founded on mutual love and respect. It is dedicated to the pursuit of the highest ideals of womanhood. Membership in Alpha Phi is an opportunity for collegiate women to grow educationally, emotionally, and socially.

Why should I join Alpha Phi Sorority?

In Alpha Phi, we have met incredible women and life-long friends. We have gained leadership experience, networked with alumnae from all over the country and Canada, participated in rewarding service projects, gone to great social functions, and are part of one of the largest, oldest, and most respected sororities in the world!

Do you haze?

NO. ABSOLUTELY NOT. Hazing is defined as any activity which endangers the physical safety of an individual; produces mental or physical discomfort; causes embarassment, fright, humiliation, or ridicule; or degrades an individual. A new member is not expected to "earn" her membership by doing the bidding of the initiated members of the chapter. The new membership period is a time to learn the values of a sorority as well as the obligations of membership. We believe the new member period is a special time, a time to discover the love that Alpha Phi can bring.

What kind of women do you look for?

We are looking for women (from a variety of backgrounds) who are intelligent, creative, enthusiastic, involved, fun, and friendly! We are not looking for "cookie cutter" girls, rather we are interested in a wide variety of amazing women!

What are the requirements?

• Attendance at weekly meetings. (Monday, 6 p.m., Student Union)

•Attendance at all ceremonies and recruitment events.

•On time payment of dues.

•MINIMUM G.P.A of 2.5

•Willingness to meet incredible people and a desire to have fun!

How much time is required?

Whatever YOU want to put in. But remember, the more you put into it, the more you will get out of it! Most of our Sisters are involved in other activities around campus, (such as Student Government, Gamma Beta Phi, ASU Dance Team, ASU Equestrian Team, etc.) and we work with these girls so they can participate in every club, sport, and/or society they are members of!

What kind of women are in the Theta Nu Chapter of Alpha Phi?
