Selection Criteria
The Robert Stephen Grady Memorial Scholarship
- The Robert Stephen Grady Memorial Scholarship, established by Mr. and
Mrs. Roland A. Grady and family, will be awarded to an undergraduate initiated
brother of the Sigma-Upsilon Zeta of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. To
be eligible, applicants must carry at least 12 semester hours per semester
and have, and maintain a grade point average not below 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale).
The criteria for selection shall include quality of character, university
and fraternity involvement and financial need. The scholarship
shall be awarded on the recommendation to the ASU Foundation, Inc. by the
scholarship committee of the Sigma-Upsilon Zeta Alumni Association, Inc.
and the Director of the Annual Fund of Appalachian State University. The
Scholarship will be awarded on an annual basis, in two equal installments
in August and January.
The John Charles Rose Memorial Scholarship
- This scholarship will be awarded to an undergraduate initiated brother
of the Sigma-Upsilon Zeta of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. The
criteria for selection shall include quality of character, academic excellence,
fraternity involvement and need for financial assistance. The scholarship
shall be awarded on the recommendation to the ASU Foundation, Inc. by the
scholarship committee of the Sigma-Upsilon Zeta Alumni Association, Inc.
and the Director of the Annual Fund of Appalachian State University. The
Scholarship will be awarded on an annual basis, in two equal installments
in August and January. Applicants must be full time students and maintain
a minimum grade point average of 2.0.
