The staff of the Counseling and Psychological Services Center provide workshops for training, staff development, team building, and psychoeducation. We are eager to meet the needs of Appalachian State University students. We welcome requests for programs from classes, organizations, teams, campus offices, and residence halls. Workshops are available on the enclosed topics or others that may be of interest.
Simply call the Center (262-3180) and speak with Rafael Harris, the Outreach Coordinator, about your request. Be prepared with your topic choice, group type and size, and the date, time, and location of your event. We suggest that requests be made at least two weeks prior to your scheduled event. Given sufficient time and staff availability we will be happy to meet your request.
The WELLNESS PEER EDUCATORS, a group of trained students, working through the Wellness Center, are also available to provide programs on various wellness, alcohol, and drug issues. Call the Wellness Center (262-3148) to make a request or get more information.
The PEER CAREER CENTER, staffed by students trained in career counseling, offers a variety of programs on career and major choice issues. Call the Peer Career Center (262-2029) to make a request or get more information.
