Students will be enrolled in Russian language and/or cultural classes at Tver State Technical University.  They will be housed with selected host families.  (See the college at: http://www.tstu.tver.ru/faculties/foreign/rlbd.html.)  Excursions will include cultural trips to cities within the Tver Region and surroundings ares, including, Moscow: Red Square, the Kremlin, Pushkin's Museum, and Gorky Park; and to Torzhok and its cathedrals, Klin and the Tchaikovsky Museum, and the ancient town of Uglich.  There will also be a boat ride on the Volga river.

Students at all levels of Russian -- or with no Russian -- may participate and courses will be tailored to individual interests.  Grades will be based on performance in class and written examinations.

Dates:  May 15, 2004 - June 13, 2004

Location:  Tver, Russia

Cost:  $3, 200.00 + tuition

Included:  Round-trip airfare to Moscow, Russia, originating at the Raleigh-Durham Airport, visa, room and board, international insurance, sightseeing trips, all excursions.

Academic Credit: 6 hours
