Students will be enrolled in Russian language and/or cultural classes at Tver State Technical University. They will be housed with selected host families. (See the college at: http://www.tstu.tver.ru/faculties/foreign/rlbd.html.) Excursions will include cultural trips to cities within the Tver Region and surroundings ares, including, Moscow: Red Square, the Kremlin, Pushkin's Museum, and Gorky Park; and to Torzhok and its cathedrals, Klin and the Tchaikovsky Museum, and the ancient town of Uglich. There will also be a boat ride on the Volga river. Students at all levels of Russian -- or with no Russian -- may participate and courses will be tailored to individual interests. Grades will be based on performance in class and written examinations. |
