Harriette Buchanan teaches in the Watauga College Program of IDS. In Watauga, she teaches Tools and area courses such as "Saints, Belles, and Wild Women: Images of Southern Women." She also teaches IDS 3101 "Research in the Professions." In addition she conducts scholarship on Southern writers, Southern women writers, Appalachian writers, and various popular culture topics.
