Kevan Minick
BS Ecology and Environmental Biology, Appalachian State University, 2005
I am currently a research technician and general lab manager in the Fisk Lab. My research uses molecular genetic approaches to characterize soil fungal communities in hardwood forest ecosystems. I am comparing fungal communities in different soil horizons, litter, and fine root detritus, and testing responses to different soil nutrient environments.
I will begin a MS degree in January 2008 and will focus specifically on microbial responses to calcium and phosphorus availability.
