The Franklin Institute On-Line: This website provides basic definitions of terms such as ecosystem, population and habitat. There are links to other websites about specific ecosystems. Thinkquest: This site has information about each of the major biomes,
their characteristics and inhabitants. Each link provides audio clips of sounds

EPA Report on Climate Change in NC: This website would not necessarily be appropriate for students, but does provide good background information for the teacher. NC Parks Classrooms Webpage: This is the homepage for the North Carolina Parks as Classrooms webpage. The site provides a brief overview of several programs available in western North Carolina that are linked to the science content standards.
