Lesson Plan Reflection Rubric

Please note: This rubric is set up mathematically so that if you hand in the complete assignment on time and get a 1 (Meets Standard) on all other items, you will end up with a 1.6 out of 2. This translates into a score of 160/200 or a low B. A low A or above is achieved with an average score on each item of 1.5 or above.

A. Timeliness and Completeness of Submission (60%)
The instructor reserves the right to remove points for late or incomplete work. Each .1 point deducted in this criterion is the equivalent of a 3% reduction in grade.

You seem to be “going-through-the-motions.” Your presentation is boring and un-engaging.

Detailed notes and instances from your tape are recorded on your table (the table where you included specific instances and times (10%)
Few incidents are recorded on your table. Times are not included. 
Some notes are included in your table, but there is little detail and much of the activity is omitted. 
Detailed notes from your observation of your video are included along with times from the tape. The instructor can look at your notes and have a good idea of what happened during the lesson. 
 
Written reflection includes all components and shows thoughtfulness and deep reflection on the experience. In this section be sure to discuss whether you felt that the students actually learned and met your stated objectives. (10%)
