Genealogical interests

HOWELLS of Southwest Virginia, specifically Grayson Co. VA.  Time period circa 1800 on.  John Calvin Howell, born 1818 in Oldtown, Grayson Co. VA. Son of Andrew Howell and Jane (?).  Moved to Ashe Co, NC around 1845-50, to the area of Mill Creek.  Wife Louisa McMillian (possibly Phipps), parents unknown, b.1820 d. ~1868.  Married Elizabeth Scott, left for Missouri around 1878, and on to Prairie City, Grant Co., Oregon.  Died around 1810.  His son, Andrew Jackson Howell (b. 1840 - d. 1823) married Nancy Adeline McGuire, in Ashe Co.  Their daughter, Sallie Louisa Howell, was my grandmother.  Photo of Andrew Jackson and Nancy Adeline McGuire Howell

HOWELL - CARRICO connection?????  Does anyone recognize this picture? E. E. Carrico Store Postcard Photo It was found with in my grandmother Howell's photos.  We don't know what significance it has.
