Spectral Classification Software for Linux/UNIX
One of the authors of Stellar
Spectral Classification (R.O. Gray) has developed a software
package called xmk22 which
displays stellar spectra in a format convenient for spectral
classification. xmk22
must be downloaded as a tarred, gzipped file and then compiled on your
Linux or UNIX machine. This requires a "C" compiler such as gcc, and it also requires that you have
the X Windows development package installed on your machine.
