Design and delivery of a section of the award-winning ASU Freshman Seminar program that provides incoming students with the necessary knowledge and practices for a successful first year on campus.

01/01 – 01/2006                                      Appalachian State University – Athletics Department
                                                                #1 - Secretary & #2 - Sports Information Liaison
#1 - Manage scheduling, communications, athletic laws and policies in the support of the ASU Athletics Department staff which includes five Head Coaches, seven Assistant Coaches and one Associate Athletics Director.  Also serve as a receptionist for the department and am the first point of contact for family members, students, and other faculty members who need services from our department.  Use my confidential access to the Student Information System (SIS) to manage required paperwork supporting admission offers, scholarship awards, and contractual agreements.  #2 – Liaison to the ASU Sports Information Department.  Updating www.goasu.com weekly events schedule, calendars, staff directory and player bios and rosters.  Processing marketing sponsorship contracts, invoices and payments.  Typing all correspondence for ASU External Operations Director, process applications for employment opportunities within ASU Sports Information, order and inventory all office supplies, and create monthly calendar for all ASU sporting events to be distributed to throughout campus.

Processed donor contributions made to Appalachian State University including comparison of bank drafts to bank transmittal forms and sorting and distribution of receipts to designated Development Officers.  Responsible for keeping databases up-to-date including the Matching Gift program and Alumni Fundraising program.

03/98 – 09/99                                          University of North Carolina Wilmington – Advancement Services Office
                                                                Assistant/Research Assistant
Managed the search and tracking of changes to local business ventures to create a new prospective business donor list. Updated business donor database and distributed biweekly up-date reports to the Development Cabinet.  Created business profile data reports on selected businesses as needed. Served as an alternate receptionist for the Research Office and provided administrative support to the Director of Special Projects.

10/95 – 3/98                                            University of North Carolina Wilmington – Academic Affairs                          
                                                                Learning Center Operations Manager
Provided leadership and management for all operations associated with the UNC Wilmington’s Learning Center including the hiring, scheduling, training, communications, and performance feedback for all clerical and tutorial staff.   Wrote and distributed the Learning Center publications and communicated regularly with faculty regarding the academic progress of the Center’s clients.
