Environmental Hydrology

I am an assistant professor in the Department of Geology at Appalachian State University. My research interests are environmental sciences in the areas of  (1) catchment hydrochemistry, focusing on hydrological and geochemical transport processes; (2) green house gases emissions; (3) groundwater surface water interaction and its effects on chemical transport; (4) nitrogen biogeochemical cycles.

My research approaches integrate concept development, laboratory & field observations, and computer modeling over a broad range of spatial and temporal scales to develop new insight into the complex hydrological controls on ecosystems.
