ASUlearn is your gateway to electronic course content. Here are some answers
to common Questions about using ASUlearn:
Q: How do I get materials for my course?
1- Firstly, buy the textbook or course materials. This information will
be in the syllabus on ASUlearn (available through APPALNet).
2- Secondly, make sure you have the software needed to complete the
course:
- Adobe Acrobat Reader

- Microsoft Powerpoint
(available at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/search.aspx)
- A browser like Internet Explorer (available at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/archive/default.asp)
- Quicktime
(available at http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/)
- A sound player (like Windows Media Player, RealPlayer,
or Winamp from http://www.freedownloads.com)
- Unsure of what software you currently have?

3- Finally, explore ASUlearn and other class materials to familiarize
yourself.
Q: What do I need to do before the first day of class?
A: Review the course and Email the instructor to establish communication.
Write "Online Student" as the subject of your email so he/she
will know who you are! You should establish a line of communication
well before an assignent is due.
Complete the "practice area" asssignments in ASUlearn.
Q: Can I save my course materials for later use?
A: Many ASUlearn materials can be saved to your own computer for your
personal electronic library. This includes Microsoft Word documents,
and Adobe PDF files, to name a few. If you are unsure whether or not
an item can be saved, contact your instructor. Remember that all content
is under copyright and may only be used for educational purposes.
Q: Can I get printed versions of course materials?
A: Besides your textbook, all ASUlearn materials are provided electronically.
If you student wish to have a printed version of any content, it can
be printed using your own printer.
COURSE COMPETENCIES
This course is constructed of four modules. You must access each one
as you progress through the class. These modules are not sequential
but are time-released. If you miss a module or quiz, you might not be
able to make it up. You will have time to complete each module before
it disappears. You may work ahead if you so choose.
