Summary

I am an Assistant Professor of Computer Information Systems in the John A. Walker College of Business at Appalachian State University. My Ph.D. is in Information Technology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. I hold a master's degree in E-Commerce from Creighton University, Nebraska and a bachelor's degree in both Computer Information Systems and Marketing from Simpson College, Iowa.

I am actively involved in the IS/T research community. My research focuses on collaboration through the use of technology and best practices for managing and using collaboration technologies in virtual and face-to-face teams. I have published in such journals as Journal of the Association for Information Systems, Communications of the Association for Information Systems, Data Base for Advances in Information Systems, American Journal of Business, and others. I am also a member of both the Association for Information Systems (AIS) and the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).

I enjoy teaching and other academic service activities, such as my involvement as the Communications and Publicity Chair for the AIS Special Interest Group on IT Project Management.
