Sep. 21, 2011: Colby and Dominic are going to present their research project during the undergraduate symposium in the Biology Seminar series today! The symposium will be in the lecture hall RSW183, 4-5 PM (Wednesday, Sept. 21). I will be giving a research talk next Wednesday, Sept. 28, same room same time.

Aug. 27, 2011: There's a new face around: Alison from Florida joined our lab as a new graduate student in the Masters Program at AppState. Please join me in welcoming her to the lab and the mountains!

I also finally got all my recurring appointments for this semester figured out and have posted an updated schedule for my office hours. Students, please take note that I had to move my Monday hours up by one hour, so it is slightly different from the hours listed on the class syllabi that I handed out this week.

Aug. 15, 2011: A couple of my photos were chosen for the Botany Photo of the Day website again. This time it is Bazzania trilobata, a leafy liverwort I found during a hike near Linville Falls. Check out more of my pictures on my photo page.

Aug. 1, 2011: I guess the biggest news today is that I finally got around to updating my website! ;-) Stay tuned for more... (I hope it won't take me two years again...)
