I am a faculty member in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at ASU. I received my Ph.D. at The University of Tennessee in 2004. I work in Mathematics Education, and I am especially interested in topics in rural education. I am also interested in the use of writing and rich problems in teacher education courses and in the development of mathematical reasoning in K-8 teachers.
