North Carolina “Safer at Home” Phase 2 Modification Order

Posted 05/21/20 at 1:20 p.m.

On May 20, Governor Cooper announced the State of North Carolina’s move to a “Safer at Home” modification of Phase 2 that will be in place through at least Friday, June 26.

Under this phase, Governor Cooper strongly encourages telework to the greatest extent permissible by employers. Therefore, the current campus staffing plan remains in place. Should there be a change for any employees, your supervisors will communicate directly with you. We will carefully monitor state and local conditions and regulations before transitioning employees who are not among at-risk populations back to work on campus.

As a reminder, the Federal Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA), allows for paid leave to permanent and currently employed non-student temporary employees with qualifying circumstances. We will continue to share additional Human Resources guidance as we have it.
