I’m Basil. I use they/them. I’m majoring in graphic design (I wanted to be an animator in middle school, but it hit me that graphic design would be more practical) and minoring in GCM (what got my attention with GCM was the web development classes, but it turns out those have a huge waitlist, so I’m taking them at a later point and doing 3D Imaging this semester instead). I like to play and draw. I make digital art, but I also like painting and sketching with traditional media. I love video games and would love to get into game development or do design work in the field at some point.
I have a love/hate relationship with the web. I started trying to teach myself HTML and CSS in the tail end of 2022, and I broke my head over it for a good several months until it finally clicked for me. I don’t know how to make stuff properly responsive (I primarily browse the internet on a computer anyway) but I see that’s what this class is for. I’m hoping to get some insight that I might’ve missed from being entirely self taught up to this point.
