Writing Standards
As prospective college graduates, it is important you learn to write well. Therefore, you are expected to adhere to the following minimum standards:
1. Don't use contractions.
2. Don't use no double negatives.
3. No sentence fragments.
4. Run on sentences cause all sorts of problems for readers and people should never use them and must try to write better and divide their sentences. [Similarly, use appropriate paragraph divisions.]
5. Make each pronoun agree with their antecedent.
6. When dangling, watch your participles.
7. Vary your words so as to use various words.
8. Use language that includes all men.
9. Verbs has to agree with their subjects.
10. Good writers do not use one verb tense in one part of a sentence, and then have switched to a different tense in the next.
11. Do not use commas, that are not necessary.
12. Proofread your writing to see if you any words out.
13. Corect speling is esential.
