How to Apply
There are 3 steps for applying to participate in a faculty-led study abroad program, which are spelled out on the Appalachian Overseas Education Program website at http://international.appstate.edu/education/aoep/how
1. Fill out the general AOEP Student Application Packet, which is available now. 2. Fill out a program-specific form to verify that you are aware of the payment and cancellation policies. The form for our program should be available soon at http://international.appstate.edu/education/aoep/payments. Please read the cancellation policy carefully and note that, if you withdraw from the program after any of the payment due dates, you will still be billed by the University for all payments for which the due dates have passed. 3. Submit a non-refundable deposit check made payable to Appalachian State University. Please write the program's name and your Banner ID number on the memo line of your check. In order to complete your application, you will need to submit both forms and your check to Dawn Arnold, Nathalie Turner, or Meg Kennedy in the Study Abroad office (226 or 228 I.G. Greer), or directly to one of the Program Leaders (Brent James or Catherine Fountain, 529 Sanford Hall). PLEASE NOTE: Appalachian reserves the right to cancel or alter the program format or to change costs in case of conditions beyond the university's control.
