Personal Information

I am married to Dr. Jeff Hirst, also a professor of mathematics at Appalachian. We both love mathematics, cooking, music, science fiction, hiking (especially in the NC High Country), traveling (especially to St. John USVI), and living in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. We share our home with our three furry children: macho-bully Henry (left),  17-year-old bad-tempered Remi (right), and 15 year old Tinks -- our new addition, who is still adapting to us.
