Serve a vital role in children’s lives.

The Specialist in School Psychology degree program at App State allows you to make significant, ethical changes for children, families and institutions. You will have valuable learning experiences in a scientist-practitioner model while developing critical interpersonal and collaborative skills.

Emerge as a leader in school psychology with a professional licensure in North Carolina — and the skills and knowledge to work with varied populations in a multitude of educational settings. The program culminates in a comprehensive third-year internship, during which you will complete an applied research project under faculty guidance.

As part of the program, students who do not already hold a master’s degree in psychology earn one in route to the specialist degree. App State's Specialist in School Psychology program curriculum has been approved by the National Association of School Psychologists since 1991.

Visit the School Psychology website for more information about App State’s School Psychology program.
