RLCs afford students an academic learning experience outside of the classroom in a fun and educational setting.

SDAP aims to prepare college-aged students with intellectual disabilities for personal growth and occupational success. The goal upon completion of the program is that students obtain competitive, integrated employment and live independent, fulfilling lives.

The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning for Student Success is the university’s comprehensive center dedicated to growing excellence in teaching and learning, leadership, and supporting faculty professional development and student success. Our center provides workshops, courses, learning communities, and resources covering a variety of topics to support faculty at all career stages.

The Campus Climate Support Program is a universitywide initiative designed to educate our campus community on bias and hate and facilitate the timely reporting and successful resolution of bias-related or hate incidents. The Campus Climate Support reporting tool is for non-emergency incidents.

App State students, faculty and staff can elect to use a chosen first name that is different from their legal first name for certain purposes, regardless of whether or not they have legally changed their name. Currently, this option applies to first names only.

Disability Resources determines access needs, applicable university resources/supports and eligibility of appropriate accommodations (adjustments, auxiliary aids/services and reasonable modifications) on the basis of disability at App State for students, employees and visitors.

The Lactation Lounge provides support to mothers in the App State Community by being a designated space for breastfeeding and/or expressing milk. It is available to faculty, staff, students and campus visitors during the facility’s normal operating hours.”

This office provides an independent, confidential environment for faculty, staff and students in the App State Community to discuss concerns or problems related to campus.

This program provides free support, caring connections, information and hope to families who have a premature baby, a child with a disability, an emotional or behavioral challenge, a mental illness, a chronic health condition or to families who are grieving the death of a child.

Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to use this walk-in space as a quiet reprieve from their busy lives, and for prayer and meditation or small group spiritual gatherings.

The University Writing Center offers one-on-one writing support to App State students, faculty, and the Boone community. Our experienced consultants provide assistance at all stages of writing, fostering confidence and competence in a collaborative, supportive, and non-evaluative environment.
