How To... Format Digital Work for the Riso

Attention! Usage of the Risograph is restricted to Graphic Design majors who have passed portfolio review or art students who have taken or are currently enrolled in a class that goes over its usage (such as Illustration or Book Arts). Please talk to a studio tech if you are lost or have a question about using it.

A Premier on how the Riso works

The Risograph combines the processes of screenprinting and photocopying. When you print something on the Riso, it burns a stencil into a master attached to its ink drums, then pushes the ink through the master onto sheets of paper as they roll through the machine.
