This website was created by Paulette Marty, the faculty dramaturg for ASU's department of Theatre & Dance.** The original artwork displayed on the navigation buttons was created for this production of Still Life with Iris by Heather Owens, an Appalachian State student.

**A dramaturg is a theatre collaborator who helps the artistic team enhance the audience's experience of a production. A dramaturg's duties vary from one production to another and may include: assisting the artistic team with research (on historical topics and contemporary issues), helping a director form his/her concept, creating performance guides and lobby displays, and helping playwrights develop and refine new plays.
