About
As interests in human performance, fitness and health continue to grow, people are turning to exercise professionals for expert guidance — and you could be one of them.
Through the Bachelor of Science (BS) in Exercise Science - Applied Exercise Physiology at App State, you will be prepared to work in health and wellness settings, such as hospital-based wellness programs and cardiac rehabilitation centers, with a variety of populations, or to pursue graduate study.
The program’s curriculum explores a variety of pathophysiologies (changes in the body that occur due to disease or injury) and their accompanying exercise recommendations, and you will have the opportunity to engage in an internship to gain real-world experience. Plus, this degree program serves as excellent preparation for the Certified Exercise Physiologist exam from the American College of Sports Medicine.
Learn in App State’s state-of-the-art labs how to scientifically address issues of health and fitness, as well as human performance, as part of a rapidly growing field.
