Acquire an organized body of knowledge about government and think analytically about public policy, law and politics with App State’s Bachelor of Science (BS) in Political Science - Legal Studies.
The program’s comprehensive curriculum is designed to prepare you for a wide variety of careers in the public and private sectors — in the practice of law, governance, policy and more — or to pursue graduate studies. You will explore courses covering topics that include political theory, judicial decision-making, international politics and foreign policy, and more, gaining a solid foundation in legal studies, cross-cultural competency and international relations, institutions and governments, and power and politics.
Plus, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through study away programs and coursework, as well as internships in settings such as local and state government agencies, law firms, law enforcement agencies and legal nonprofits.
