Your journey to a legal career starts here.

Acquire an organized body of knowledge about government and think analytically about public policy, law and politics with App State’s Bachelor of Science (BS) in Political Science - Legal Studies.

The program’s comprehensive curriculum is designed to prepare you for a wide variety of careers in the public and private sectors — in the practice of law, governance, policy and more — or to pursue graduate studies. You will explore courses covering topics that include political theory, judicial decision-making, international politics and foreign policy, and more, gaining a solid foundation in legal studies, cross-cultural competency and international relations, institutions and governments, and power and politics.

Plus, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through study away programs and coursework, as well as internships in settings such as local and state government agencies, law firms, law enforcement agencies and legal nonprofits.
