Write a paper in which you discuss the role of the teacher in supporting development of the students’ mathematical understandings in the Patterning and Partitioning lesson sequence. In your paper, be sure to give specific examples by referring to the classroom video and description of the lesson sequence. In addition to the paper, you are expected to present an overview of your analysis to the class and to facilitate discussion on your topic.
